Curiosity Research Ltd delivers education, research and consultancy services.  This privacy policy explains how we collect, use and disclose any personal information we collect about you during the course of our business including when you use our website. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.

The type of personal information we collect 

We currently collect and process the following information:

  • Personal identifiers, contacts and characteristics (for example, your name and contact details such as an email address and phone number)

How we get the personal information

Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you for one of the following reasons:

  • You have contacted us via our contact form
  • If you respond to any feedback requests on our websites or services
  • When you place a work order with us (through CuriosityResearch.uk).

Why we have it

  • We collect this information so we can respond to your queries and comments, and to develop a proposal for a service for you.
  • We collect this information to deliver a service and to stay in touch with you if you agree to inform you about other products and services we offer that we believe may be of interest to you.

Website cookies

  • The websites CuriosityResearch.uk is a WordPress.org installations and use cookies to collect non-personally identifying information relating to the type of web browser, device, date and time of each visitor. This is for the web analytics to better understand how the site visitors are using the website. 
  • WordPress.org also collects Internet Protocol (IP) addresses but does not use such information to identify its visitors. These again are used for web analytic purposes.

We will not share your information with any other company for any purpose.

Research projects

We may receive personal information from the following sources for the following reasons:

  • Personal identifiers, contacts and characteristics (for example, your name and contact details such as an email address and phone number).
  • This may be gathered as part of specific research projects carried out directly by Curiosity. The information will be obtained as part of the research process, and according to ethical principles, will be anonymised as part of analysis and reporting.

We will not share your information with any other company for any purpose.

How we store your personal information 

Our website and services comply with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR, 1st January 2021).

Your personal data will be securely held in a locked filing cabinet, on an encrypted computer/hard drive, or securely stored in the cloud. Your data will be destroyed 12 months after the service we have provided to you has been completed and all payments have been received by us. (Paper-based data will be burnt, and computer data will be deleted).

If we both agree that our services may be relevant to you in the future, you will be invited to consent to us contacting you for this purpose. We will ask you to confirm this in writing or by an email tick box.

We regard the security of your personal Information with high importance, but no method of transition over the internet or method of storage is completely without risk.
